Your unit would more than likely have you complete the APFT. They usually don&#39;t come back in. The only time I have seen the Army consider these are when there is a shortage of recruits. This may not be what you want to hear but the Army doesn&#39;t want to return a Soldier that failed once back to the Army when there are others that are willing to serve. It doesn&#39;t get changed. You failed to pass your PT test when you separated and you can&#39;t change that SFC Private RallyPoint Member Thu, 10 Dec 2020 20:17:53 -0500 2020-12-10T20:17:53-05:00 Response by SSG Brian G. made Dec 11 at 2020 3:59 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/to-lift-an-re-3-code-for-apft-do-i-have-to-take-the-new-acft-or-the-apft?n=6571928&urlhash=6571928 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Re codes do not get &quot;lifted.&quot; They can get changed with a lot of effort and convincing. You failed the APFT and got chaptered out due to it. You can try to get a waiver to get back in but in that you must demonstrate that you can pass the current military standard physical fitness test.
