Appeared on my FB. I have to admit I did this... once. In Boot Camp. My DI had to help me get them undone. I didn't realize how much "mass" I had put on during phase 2 (about 30lbs of muscle).

30lbs of muscle is a lot in two phases.

I joined at 108. Dropped probably 10lbs of fat/water in p1 & was up to 132 when I graduated. Compared to when I joined, I was "stacked." I'm a small dude (5'6") and they loaded with me food, and they keep you moving.

SFC (Join to see) oh, I didn't think you doubted it. USMC bootcamp will get you in shape, no doubt. They had me on double rations as soon as they saw me. There were a few guys in my platoon who lost a good 30-40 pounds. There's a reason we don't get service uniforms until p3. The body changes are so extreme.

Amazing. Now those are some tight rolls. I've heard sea stories of young dumb Marines trying to use K-bars to rescue their arms or their buddies' from over-zealous sleeve rolls.

"Back in the day" we used to have a few body builders who had to cut their sleeves for their garrison set. I doubt that even exists any more.

Back when we had BDU's Worn mine up even into the winter. Was told by CoC that during specified dates, according to policy, I had to bring down my sleeves. Which sucked because in November there still where hot spells!
