I have top amateur cycling and ultra running friends who live at sea level training with a mask and it never truly prepares them for their races in elevation, the mask only forces the muscles around your lungs to work harder Response by SPC Jillian O'Malley made Aug 2 at 2016 12:09 AM 2016-08-02T00:09:11-04:00 2016-08-02T00:09:11-04:00 SPC Private RallyPoint Member 1770297 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I've had my mask since 2012 and use it only when I'm on the bike. While I'm no scientist nor am I an expert, I stand by it for CARDIO. I see no benefit for an elevation mask during chest day.
