You'll be overseeing and extracting data from a database which will vary depending on your airframe. We do plenty of talking directly with O's and present studies to groups. Its a highly visible position with the commanders and members of the maintenance group. Are you looking for more of what the day to day looks like? Are you going to be fulltime or a dsg? I converted the same way (not same job) in 2001. Crazy difference but very good. To Steve's point the interaction with the O's will be greater than in the ANG. You should really enjoy the change and I wish you the very best. I have to complete Airman Leadership School (DL) first. I don't know if that is an issue for you. That and some coding on the DBM side of the job. Power Point and Excel were used frequently in my time.
