Transitioning to active component from guard/reserve???

I’m joining active duty as prior service from the national guard, I was wondering if I will receive some sort of stipend or financial help to get the things I need such as uniforms,housing(I have dependents), household goods and things of that nature?

Going from National Guard to Regular Army, yes you will receive BHA based on your duty station. Once each year you will get a clothing allowance for uniforms. I am unsure how that will work with you going from Guard to AD but it SHOULD be that once you receive your orders that you are going to X posting, then all of that should kick in.

Just need to check with some senior people that can point u in the right direction. I was active but was given a free move when discharged. Check your resources! Web sites! Womans groups that help families with family members overseas. I hope this helps! Good luck!

I just switched from reserve to active yesterday at meps and wasn’t informed of anything of that nature (I do not have dependents so it may be different) other than that you have been separated from the military for more than 90 days you will be issued new uniforms, boots, etc

Just call a recruiter. You do get those things in Active Duty.
