If you have character (which simply means doing what is right whether or not anyone is watching) your on duty and off duty persona need to be congruent; you can't have two different personas... This is about walking the walk, 24/7, not just talking the talk, as is often in the Army. I will tell future leaders that communication is key to success. It is imperative that a leader has the trust in their people to let them provide different perspectives to accomplish the job. Relying on one's strengths and weaknesses will help with the development as well.
