Trying to locate and old US Army veteran. Is it possible to find him or his contact info?

This is really off topic and kind of a long shot, but my grandfather was a soldier in the Korean Army and he worked closely with a US Army specialist E-5 around 1965-1966. They were both stationed in an Army base or camp (not sure which, but probably camp) in Incheon, South Korea. My grandpa often tells me stories about him and how they became great friends. He’s also told me that he misses him a lot sometimes and always wanted to get a chance to talk to him. I want to try and connect the two old veterans, so is there any way I could locate/find a phone number or anything of him? I know his last name, rank (at the time, and my grandfather believes he would’ve left the service at this rank), their medical dispensary number and maybe the state he moved to (though my grandpa isn’t sure). Thanks and appreciate any kind of input.

You'll need to get his full name and any/all previously known locations, and then do a bunch of internet sluething. No resources exist for the military or VA to assist you in your search. You can search for him on here, on Together We Served, or on a number of other military-related websites. However, given his age, it's unlikely that he has much of a digital footprint. You can also reach out to any RP members whose profiles indicate that they might have been stationed at that location around the same time. Definitely won't be an easy task. Good luck.

It might be a lot easier than going through a military site, which is loaded with restrictions and takes time. But there is a web site where you might be able to find them in a few minutes. It certainly isn't guaranteed, but it doesn't cost you anything unless you want to pay for a full background check. If you get nowhere with a free search, then it's time to try finding them through the government.

SFC William Farrell - Under my name it even lists two of my old girlfriends, one of which only spent the night with me one time. There is also information that is incorrect on folks, but by calling the phone numbers, the odds are great that you will find the person you're after. And the big thing it's a free search. You can pay a fee if you want a lot more details. There is something else you can do with the free information. Punch the address into Zillow and search. With a whole lot of the addresses, there is a link to the country tax assessors' web site and where youget a lot more information, to include the actual amount of property taxes the person pays, assuming they own the property. The information is out there, as long as you know how to find. The funniest thing was I clicked on one of my old girlfriend's name and under her known associates was another old girlfriend. It's a conspiracy, I say. Either that or they met one another later in life, were comparing notes and decided they had enough in common to be come close friends. They probably talk about me like a dog.
