<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Lots of backstory on this one, as I posted elsewhere.<br />This apology specifically is for the purpose of improving diplomatic relations. The Russians knew damned well they were flying over Turkish airspace, and the Turks knew damned well that was a Russian aircraft doing it. Both probably learned their lesson, at least in regards to this issue.
