Typhoon still hammering away on eastern Japan. Massive flooding, and the worst is yet to come.

What is the status of our troops in Japan? We have a large amount of bases in the area and I have made many RallyPoint friends there as well. Can anyone stationed there give us an update? Has anyone there been given a warning order in regards to providing assistance for those affected?

Was stationed in Okinawa and rode a typhoon out. The eye passed right over the base. It's amazing how it can go from squall with rain blowing horizontally, to sunny weather and peaceful calm, and then just as quickly turn to squall again with the rain blowing horizontally in the opposite direction!

Japan has dealt with a lot in recent years. I hope and pray that damage is limited and loss of life is zero.

About 22 were missing a few days ago due to flooding. This El Niño year has brought a lot of typhoons just after the rainy season has ended. This has caused over saturation of the soil and landslides.
