Is it ok to put your unit patch on your service dog?

Go for it as the dog is an extension of you and your service. Look at this way as another way to add your service flair.

It's more of a reflection on my service to and with that unit.

I am no longer in the military and was medically retired after 5 years and wasn't sure if this would be acceptable.

of course it is, most Dogs I have seen even have some rank on them. It is about YOU and what makes you better, if you want to name his CSM Bulldog and give him a Unit patch, that is your prerogative. Main thing is it helps you!

I see it all the time at the VA, I don't see anything wrong with this
