It was a smooth transition except for a few minor hiccups from my Chain of Command. They made it easy, the large tire company came to schools giving interviews and tests. Job search came to me. Stayed 18.5 years and retired again. I think that a big part of finding employment is not necessarily the experience that you have, because everyone can be trained for entry level and a little higher positions, but rather who you know in order to get your foot in the door. Went to a conference Bradley Morris was hosting in Atlanta and was eventually hired by the Toyota plant in Mississippi for a maintenance position. Still there 4 years later. Closest job I could find to working on the flight deck. We PCS&#39;d twice and I had to job hunt twice. Both times I got hired from companies I found at job fairs. In fact, from the second job fair, I had multiple interview opportunities.
