US Arrogance: Sending of Kerry to negotiate cease fire in Israel

If this has already been posted I'm sorry but I have to get this off my chest. The United States has sent Kerry to Isreal to negotiate a cease fire. Why? If I were any other country in this world why would I listen to a country who can't fix there own problems, and we have many! We need to stop sticking our nose into other countries problems until we have a handle on the problems that are festering in our own back yard. HEY CONGRESS AND MR. PRESIDENT TAKE CARE OF OUR HOME!!!!

I wouldn't call it arrogant, personally. The world has a lot to gain by preventing further conflict in the region. While a lot of us have differing opinions, I think we'd all agree that hundreds of people dying in the conflict within a few days is pretty horrifying.

First off, many of the problems we have at home are "First World Problems". Yes, they are serious issues and need to be addressed, but I guarantee you that many folks around the world would LOVE to have our problems.

Secondly, just because we have problems at home doesn't mean we can simply disengage from the rest of the world. Just becuase you are not interested in world problems doesn't mean that world problems will not affect you. It's kind of like voting: if you didn't vote you don't have a right to bitch about the outcome. You can either disengage and be content to deal with the aftermath or you can engage and try to avert bad outcomes or even shape the outcomes to your advantage.

Sending John Kerry to do anything in our name is arrogant.

Don't think for a minute that the other world leaders haven't done their homework on our pResident AND his pick for Secretary of State. Frankly, it's difficult for them to respect anyone in the Obama Administration, because they have the goods on them. After Obama, Kerry is probably the next least trusted person in our government that they have to deal with. (< Just my opinion)

The first thing that foreign leaders would be asking themselves is, "Is this man a dependable Ally? Can he make good on his promises?" and then they would be asking themselves, "Can we trust what comes out of his mouth?"

Kerry's military record is not without its controversies (i.e., Swift Boat), and he seems to be most proficient at finding rich women to marry...

It's hard to respect the words coming from a man with a background like that.

Why do we have a habit of getting involved where we are not wanted and then sittling on the stands when we are? Why are we not helping a country that has been one of our best allies?

I am of the belief that sending Kerry is more symbolic than anything. There's very little the U.S. can provide either side other than a table with a moderator with regard this situation.

Anyone with any experience in the middle east should have foreseen the current Gaza situation, especially in view of the Muslim Brotherhood takeover of Egypt several years ago. With the election of Morsi as the Egyptian President. a simple viewing of the map will tell the rest of the story. With Hamas in control of Gaza, combined with Hamas own admitted plan for the destruction of Israel the fight currently being waged in Gaza was something the Israeli's have been planning for. Knowing that Hamas intended to use the tunnels and the local civilians as human shields the Israeli's really have few choices.

In essence, Kerry going to that area of the world is nothing more than a side show - intended for the world to see that the U.S. views the Gaza situation as a serious event. Kerry is not trained in negotiation nor experienced in anything close, therefore his presence is only intended for the higher authorities in the Middle East.

Sending Kerry was not to negotiate a cease fire. Anyone who believes that is nieve at the least and just outright dumb at the worst. Obama is openly hostile towards Israel and always has been. This current administration is pro Muslim and negotiates and provides aid and comfort to our sworn enemy. Kerry was sent to Israel to force Obama's dictates that they surrender their rights to Hamas. Obama even used force by shutting down all flights into Israel for a 48 hour period to give Kerry teeth in his threat. It is shameful and treasonists, and thank God, Israel didn't cave into the threat.

Is there anyone on this site that honestly believes Israel does not have the right to defend themselves? And yet Obama's media plays his games and attempt to place the blame on Israel as the aggressors, and calls them baby killers. Quite frankly, I'm surprised that Israel hasn't done some serious butt kicking. They certainly have the ability to do so. And yet, for some strange reason, they continue to look for ways to stop the fighting.

Each time Hamas get's their A$$ handed to them Obama steps in and gives them more money and arms so they can continue their fight against Israel. I for one am tired of the actions of this administration.

Nobody listens to John Kerry. Every foreign country that has an Intelligence agency worth its salt, does their homework and investigates the background of the leaders other countries send to them. Kerry's most notable success in life is being able to convince rich women to marry him. They don't have any respect for a man who has inherited his fortune through marriage. Kerry is nothing but a pure politician. His words are just empty platitudes, and his admonition/threats to other leaders is like the bleating of sheep amongst wolves. John Kerry is an empty suit and they know it.

In the same vein, the entire world knows Obama is a phony. They know he's ineligible. They know every detail about his sordid past and closet homosexuality. They know he did nothing to earn his Nobel Peace Prize. They know Obama can't get anything done through Congress and that he's not acting in America's best interest. They view him as a weak, corrupt, arrogant and narcissistic "leader" [for lack of a better word] that surrounds himself with incompetents (like John Kerry) and promotes people based not on their performance, but for their steadfast loyalty and willingness to go to bat for him to cover up his wrongdoing. Obama boasts about his accomplishments taking credit for success where there is none. His actions in the Middle East have served to destabilize the entire region. Perhaps that is by design. He makes idle threats drawing red lines in the sand that get crossed repeatedly... and nothing of consequence happens.

The world would feel sorry for America but for one trivial detail... We elected Obama without vetting him, and then after four years of broken promises and screwing up our economy, we were stupid enough to re-elect him. Putin has Obama's ticket. Netanyahu sees him as an untrustworthy Ally at best, and a vindictive, sore loser that says one thing and does another, always acting against Israel's national interests.

THIS is the Administration as seen by the world, which John Kerry represents. Nobody listens and nobody cares.

The Israelis have been living with Hamas and its sister terrorist groups and the countries around them that support these groups for too long to make a mistake in negotiations. They have far too much to lose and Nazi Germany is still too fresh in their memories. I don't believe it matters who we send to negotiate, it won't end until Netanyahu is ready for it to end.

We had the Iraq Army of thousands lined up for the taking but Our Command said there had been enough Killing and let the retreat, how'd that work out for us? President Trump had the withdrawal arranged with the Tali knowing he would not tolerate any BS. Biden under Obamas Rule and Milli Vanilli's Command, set it up for a complete disgrace, allowed many Troops to be Killed and wounded.
