USA Freedom Act signed into law. Do you think the reformed bill is better than the Patriot Act it replaced?

It's now official. USA Freedom Act is now signed into law. It effectively replaces the Patriot Act that most of us are familiar with. But how familiar are you with these two bills? Most Americans are completely unaware what this bill even does.

Considering that most Americans are not even aware of what these two bills are or what they do, is Congress and policymakers too secretive for these types of policies to continue? Or is this a necessary sacrifice of some privacy for the sake of security?

This one is more "citizen friendly". It is not as intrusive & actually has the potential to cast a more accurate net. The only question I have about it is will officials use it to its potential, or (un)intentionally not use it to its potential in order to attempt to get the more restrictive Patriot Act portions back?

Protected the citizens better. The new one puts us at risk of being attacked again. Wait, when we do get attacked again then everyone will be asking how this happened. All I can say is look in the mirror.

The amazing part is the speed in which this was passed. Like the Patriot Act, I highly doubt many members of congress or senators actually read the legislation, then conducted an unemotional analysis of it in regards to it's effect on their constituents.

I don't know....I expect our leaders to read it, which of course they didn't....Just because they pass a bill into law, doesn't mean I have to recognize it as a legal law to me....I have natural rights and can do what I want

Once again Congress gives a bill a name that is misleading. The "Freedom Act" takes away freedom.
