USAR/NG males - Do you shave when not on duty?

Just wondering what everyone else does. I'm USAR, but I have a job where unless you're actually growing a beard, you need to appear professional. Two-day old stubble just won't cut it..

Now, I telework 2x/week, so I shave M-W, and Th-F I don't. I don't shave on weekends unless I have a Masonic event to go to.

I shave every other day. Sometimes I will go a week without shaving to grow a goatee, but then I'll shave it off for church on Sunday. I will be clean shaven the day prior to drill as I don't want a bad shave the morning of.

I just saw the voting results so far: 100% What's Shaving. Soooo true. It's kinda impressive when you see guys from your unit a week before drill and see that they almost have a duck dynasty beard going on.
On a personal note I shave every 2-3 days, everyday on duty and when I have special event

Every other day usually, maybe skip a couple, always shave on Sunday.

I shave in garrison. Best I can do in the field is keep it short, real short, but not skin tight. I have Pseudofolliculitis Barbae something fierce, and it sucks.

In my old Reserve unit (IMA), we had a guy that only cut his hair once a year. He did his 30 days a year all at one time. If he wasn't doing his AF time, he didn't shave or cut his hair. In my ANG unit, we had a guy that was a under cover cop, he never shaved and showed up on drill weekends in civilian clothes. That ended after 9/11 though.

I do during the week only because I want to present a professional appearance. In the past, I have grown facial hair. I don't bother on the weekends.
I also don't like to grow it too long because it's a pain to shave longer facial hair for drill.

Unfortunately, I have Pseudofolliculitis Barbae (Scottish curly hair growing out of and then back into my Cherokee skin especially if cut too short), so only shave when I have to/when the hair gets too annoying for my wife. I hate it, wish I could shave clean, but after trying brand new blades, sensitive shaving cream, 2 different razor burn rescue products, medication aftershave, and a coffee pot to get water as hot as I could so it'd cut cleanly, it just wasn't working well. My wife shelled out quite a bit of money on a Braun electric razor, and it lasted 10 years, shaving every 2 or 3 days and keeping the hair short (but not clean-shaven).
