Good morning Battles I need some clarifications for this class I will give soon. I do not understand the Coil and Herringbone signals, what are those for? because looking the coil on the warriors book looks like assemble or rally point and the herringbone this is my first time seeing that one. I will appreciate any help, thank you.

In my experience as a Scout in an Armor Battalion, herring bones are generally used when there's a brief halt in movement. The coil is generally used when the halt is going to be prolonged.
Also, with the herring bone, there's no set up time. Everyone just peels off to their respective side and then when it's time to move again, everyone just falls right back into the column. The coil takes a little time to get set and break down.

As the CW3 Dean put it, these are formations. FM3-21.91 Chapter three can give you information about each one.
