USFK Bans Buying Drinks for Juicy Girls2014-10-28T09:37:05-04:002014-10-28T09:37:05-04:00MSG Wade Huffman297645<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Honestly can't say that I'm surprised by the action. I am somewhat surprised that it didn't happen much earlier. It has been going on for, quite literally, decades, and has always been a very thin veiled cover for prostitution, even before the human trafficking became rampant.<br />Long past due IMHO.Response by MSG Wade Huffman made Oct 28 at 2014 10:14 AM2014-10-28T10:14:00-04:002014-10-28T10:14:00-04:00SFC Melker Johansson297657<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The ban make sense if the US Armed Forces are serious about fighting sex trafficking.Response by SFC Melker Johansson made Oct 28 at 2014 10:24 AM2014-10-28T10:24:30-04:002014-10-28T10:24:30-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member297665<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>And that was my first impression as well, <a class="dark-link bold-link" role="profile-hover" data-qtip-container="body" data-id="156836" data-source-page-controller="question_response_contents" href="/profiles/156836-msg-wade-huffman">MSG Wade Huffman</a> & SFC Melker Johansson. There is a yearly mandated class against human trafficking yet we do nothing about the obvious sex trafficking in Korea.<br /><br />Long overdue, to say the least.Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 28 at 2014 10:26 AM2014-10-28T10:26:32-04:002014-10-28T10:26:32-04:00SFC Joseph Sheffield7875907<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I was stationed in Korea at Humphreys from 94-95. The girls were pretty much all Korean then. Not like today with the other 3rd world people taking over the "role". There is no need for a ban if the SM just said "no thanks" like most of us did. Soldiers are going to drink and that's a hard one to stop. But things are much more "non-alcoholic" today. So, maybe it's for the best with sex trafficking and prostitution, that they will be out of work. But we had an "underground" (literally in a basement) club in Humphreys so, this will probably continue for a while.Response by SFC Joseph Sheffield made Sep 13 at 2022 4:57 PM2022-09-13T16:57:39-04:002022-09-13T16:57:39-04:002014-10-28T09:37:05-04:00
