I am somewhat surprised that it didn't happen much earlier. It has been going on for, quite literally, decades, and has always been a very thin veiled cover for prostitution, even before the human trafficking became rampant.
Long past due IMHO. There is a yearly mandated class against human trafficking yet we do nothing about the obvious sex trafficking in Korea.

Long overdue, to say the least. The girls were pretty much all Korean then. Not like today with the other 3rd world people taking over the "role". There is no need for a ban if the SM just said "no thanks" like most of us did. Soldiers are going to drink and that's a hard one to stop. But things are much more "non-alcoholic" today. So, maybe it's for the best with sex trafficking and prostitution, that they will be out of work. But we had an "underground" (literally in a basement) club in Humphreys so, this will probably continue for a while.
