Effective March 24th, 2015, Hopefully this will make it easier for our brothers and sisters in arms. If it works finally some good news from the VA. I would like to see an improvement that assist our veterans amidst all of the scandals and disturbing news that we have been seeing. I guess time will tell. Salutes

It's not hard to apply for benefits. Never was. It's hard to get approved.

They turn down most claims.

When those claims are reviewed, there was something close to a 75% overturn rate. SCOTUS yelled at the VA Laywer when confronted about it. "You get it wrong 75% of the time?" - "Well that's not exactly right..." - "Well, what's the real number?" - "It's closer to 65%" - "@#$%@$%@, 65%!!! you think that's acceptable?!"

The sad thing is the answer is yes, the VA does think that 65% failure rate is acceptable. IF they didn't, they would have fixed it YEARS ago.

I'm currently 40% and my wife and I had our son back in November 0f 2013.  Sent in the paperwork to update family status for benefits purpose and still waiting for son to be added 15 months later.  They are slow as hell!!!!

Have you tried using ebenefits to update it electronically? I was actually able to update that in less than 2 weeks with confirmation.

I think that it's always been relatively easy to apply for VA benefits (so long as you have all the documentation you need). The problem is getting the VA to act on our applications.
