Excellent post. Thank you for sharing this on Rally Point. :-> SGT Ruben Lozada Sat, 08 Feb 2025 17:41:54 -0500 2025-02-08T17:41:54-05:00 Response by Cristina Johnson made Feb 17 at 2025 4:59 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/command-post/veteran-online-wellness-tool-now-live-on-face-the-fight-s-website?n=8948703&urlhash=8948703

Overall, Face the Fight and Check-In are making important strides in breaking down barriers to mental health care, and we should all appreciate that.

On the plus side, it’s a simple, no-cost way for veterans to get the support they need. The care Coordinators work with each person to create a plan tailored to them. This helps reduce the stigma around asking for help, which is so important in encouraging more veterans to reach out.

However, in my opinion, there are a few downsides. Not all veterans know about this tool yet, so some might miss the chance to use it. Also, the 72-hour wait for a response could feel too long for someone who needs help right away.
Even though Check-In makes things easier, navigating the system can still be a challenge for those with less tech experience.
All in all, this is a solid step forward. We all need to help spread the word and ensure it reaches everyone who needs it.
