Then turn to that long black wall and all those who went and did, what no one wanted to do, in a place that no one cared about, for a people who would then be abandoned to the Killing Fields and totalitarianism. Then to the dead of Felujia and Baghdad and all the other little shit-holes in Iraq and Afghanistan. God bless you all, wherever you now live or your bones rest. To those whose lives where the price of the this nations lack of political will, my apologies. For those of you who still live in fear from tyrants and zealots, my prayers for your safety. To all the young soldiers, God bless and keep you all the days of your lives. Many of our friends and family didn&#39;t get that chance, and this is their day. Allow surviving veterans the privacy to grieve in peace on Memorial day. We can enjoy free food, etc. on our day, Veterans day.<br />Survivor&#39;s guilt is hard enough, without adding to it by honoring the living Veterans on Memorial day SPC Heather Hann Myers Thu, 25 May 2023 04:32:25 -0400 2023-05-25T04:32:25-04:00 2015-11-10T11:00:23-05:00
