Several people listed as part of the “Veterans for Trump coalition” formed by Donald Trump following his incendiary comments about John McCain’s war record have denied they are part of the group, the Guardian has learned.
Trump’s campaign announced the formation of the New Hampshire-based group in response to criticism of the business mogul’s labelling of McCain, who spent five and a half years in a North Vietnamese jail, where he was tortured, as “not a war hero”.

SGT Private RallyPoint Member That sounds like something he would do. This Trump is very shrewd and will go to no lengths to get his campaign in the forefront of the media. He is eating up media time whether it’s good or bad and he's getting it free. If he hits a homerun during free press time he wins, so why not take your chances.

Donald Trump sent me, as a medic and combat veteran from Vietnam, a very nice letter. Other Presidents turned a blind eye on me and the VA. Now I wish I had voted for him. Trump can use my name anytime and every medic that served with me, 100% were awarded purple hearts, either on their chest or the box they were put to rest in ( read; Odyssey of Echo Company). A company of great men, God Bless them one and all.
