How do I find my military medical records? Archives say they don’t have them. When I applied for benefits I have been denied 3 times due to lack of records. I'm not happy with the Funeral Homes taking advantage of Veterans Benefits. I just retired with 40 Years In Service and I'm still alive. My father was a Korean War Veteran and he is not. He passed away last year and the Funeral Home racked up charges and said the VA will pay for it. They didn't use the updated Forms and I submitted it again and I haven’t heard a word from the VA. SDVOSB named Dream Ellison has donated products in support of the VA Maternity Care Program. The company would like to make more donations but the Maternity Care Programs are decentralized and it is difficult to get ahold of correct POCs. My question is, I am a 80% service connected/100% unemployable Army Vet. I require weekly therapy for my legs. A change to the Community Appointment program under this current administration has removed the ability of local VA physicians and therapist to decide the number of visits and longevity of care and replaced it with a cookie cutter rigid program that only allows them to authorize a maximum of 15 visits over 4 months. This change has me often going weeks and even months without care due to VA red tape. Prior to this change the Therapist and Director of OT at my local VA facility had the ability to gauge the need and frequency of my therapy. I had authorization of up to 104 visits a year. Which kept me from having breaks in my needed care.
What do I need to do, or who do I need to contact to either get an exemption to the new rule or help fight for a change?

Why is there no OPEN reviews about the VA center, Doctors, health care given created by veterans for veterans? Most companies have this system, the VA should also. That way veterans could see what they will be dealing with prior to their treatment.

Is ebenefits having issues? First, it said I didn't have an account. Then I created an account with the same user name as my original login. Then, as I tried filling in the questionnaire, the system gave me an error. My question is about Myhealthvet. Is something being done to correct the issue with scheduling appointments? Every time a user schedules an appointment it gets cancelled and a message shows up saying you will get a call from the facility. Which never happens. When you call the VA medical centers they stress using online for ease to the user. How is the user able to do that with a system that is broken? This is why the call volumes are so high forcing more vets to call. A better system needs to be put in place and quickly. We should be past the point of blaming Covid for all the issues.

Hello, As a IMA reservist (19Y) and active Duty (6Y) Security Forces I would go pull duty or training on a weekend or my two weeks and if any point i was hurt or got hurt the hosp was not able to see me as i was still on duty or the weekend / 2 weeks was over and i was going home to see my civilian Doc and missing work. If i would have showed up for work or needed to go to sick call i would have been released from my IMA slot and dropped from the program. I was once told your hear to work not go to sick call and another time i was dropped from a slot because i used the Med clinic before or after work. So i was scared to loosed my status as a Res. Now as i get older the same problems are again brothering me what can i do ??? the VA refused my claims no proof

OTC is hiring allot more PAs not doctors and the PAs that I seen were afraid to evaluate the veterans injuries and compensate them correctly. I was told by one of those PA that she was afraid to give me a 100% rating which i know that is my current rate should be from my injuries that she might loss their job. Note the VA hospitals have all the medical record's and tests why can my VA primary care doctor given me my rating? When you have all your documents and medical records that proof that you have a service connected disabilities and those injures have worsening, why do you need to go to OTC? Also noted this statement is from the Department of Veteran Affairs "that veterans with colored skin are not treated fairly VA hospitals and are less likely to receive higher compensation ratings for the same injuries as white veterans."
Seven herniated discs in your neck to spinal and numerous surgeries conducted by the VA on knees, shoulder and hips due to a M1 tank accident. How obvious are my injuries and still do not receive a higher rating. The color of your skin should not matter to the OTC staff but it DOES for VA compensation rating for people with color. WHY?

Why are the medical facilities divided by region instead of being able to go to the nearest provider?
I live closer to the Fredericksburg VA and the DC VA medical center, than Richmond and Ft. Belvoir but I am not allowed to use Fredericksburg services because I chose the DC VA medical center.

Why isn’t there a better system to access community care? I’ve been referred to 2 places that were subpar, meanwhile there are capable providers of my choice that I could be accessing but the VA won’t pay for it because they haven’t been “vetted” through their process. What good is the “process” if the providers the VA approves have facilities that are in one case not cleaned well? Or in another case don’t have hours that work for me?

My VDVS VSR said 100% permanently disabled vets are eligible for K-12 tuition benefits for their children in Virginia. She referred me to http://www.schev.edu for details, but I was not able to find what she was referencing on the site. In spent a month in a VA PTSD clinic. The director of the program told e the pace was only doing me worse. Simple solution, leave. When I asked to leave my phycologist baker acted me and sent to police in to come get me. This threw me into fight or flight and there was no way out of that office. After the incident i was thrown in jail. So my question is "In a mental ward, where violence is known as our most common reaction would trained police and my phonologist think it best to corner me into a room?"

I have recently been diagnosed for Sleep Apnea and am being treated by my Pulmonary doctor, Dr. Kahlagi, I received my CPAP machine yesterday, April 6th, 2022. How do I initiate the new claim?

It took 7 months for my disability claim to go through (they were missing a questionnaire i filled out months ago). a.) will i recieve back pay for that time period (My rating is 80%)? B.) Is it correct that I will recieve 2 payments monthly (one payment for military retirement, and a second payment monthly for disability)?

I have been trying for 9-10 years trying to get AO compensation from the VA. Was in Nam 1969, have AO presumptive conditions and just recently tried again. Last em from VA was in Nov saying they are processing, 5 months later still nothing. How long does it take to process?

When a veteran files a claim why don't the personnel reviewing the claim look at the entire record of the veteran? I am asking this because when I retired out of Fort Campbell I was married with one child. Two years later with the same wife we had another. By then I was rated at over 30% (I am now over 50%). 12 years later when asking for a certificate for a VA loan while speaking with the young lady she told me I was talking about a wife and two children but was only being paid for me. I filed an adjustment and was only allowed my wife and daughter. I appealed, and was still only allowed for my wife and daughter. While going through the basement I discovered several documents issued by the VA while I was completing my degree in 2004 and I was being paid benefits for my wife and both children. Why didn't the person working my claim review my entire record.

It's been decades since I was honorably discharged. Have used the GI bill for education, but nothing since. How do I find out what VA benefits I'm eligible for and how to apply if eligible? Particularly interested in healthcare and burial benefits.

Sorry...accidentally posted. Logged in to myhealth.gov and ran right back to sign in again....over and over again. Any Quality control improvements coming soon? I couldn't imagine an elderly vet being able to navigate that fire-drill of a program.

I am a 100% disabled peacetime veteran. I live on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. It would have been really nice to have gotten a little earlier notification about this Q&A session for Virginia Veterans. But I'll ask just the same and hope that this question is seen and finally answered. As I said I live on the Eastern Shore up near the Maryland border. Now I have from time to time read the web reports from VA.Gov that come out about Different types of therapy that are offered throughout the VA to Veterans who have PTSD/MST. Yet I have yet to see or hear of any of these new programs being offered anywhere in Virginia. One Example is Art Therapy!!!! I really could use that I think it would be great. I even have a private area/room in my house that I would be willing to allow the VA to turn into a workspace/ craft space for therapy. I would also donate materials myself. This is a program I really believe in and know can really benefit a lot of veterans. Yet no matter who I have written to or approved about this NO one has any idea about what I am talking about. They have never heard of Art therapy for PTSD/MST veterans? They have never heard of therapeutic horseback riding for PTSD/MST veterans. All the funds for a veteran to get an emotional service animal have run out. And there are so many other excuses I have heard and what it all comes down to is this>>> NONE of these (What I have to call) NEW AGE therapies are available in Virginia!!!! SO maybe someone can tell me WHY that is???? There is ZERO therapy for anyone who suffers from Adult ADHD either. Sure you can get the drug treatment but the drugs for ADHD really do no good unless you get the Therapy along with them!!! And yes I know a lot of people believe that ADHD drugs are all that is needed but that is not true and never has been. I believe that is a medical myth the public school system has supported for a number of years. But if you talk with any doctor who really knows how to treat ADHD in Kids or adults they will tell you that ADHD Drugs are useless without therapy. And the necessary therapy is a life coach!!! Teaching the individual to live with organization and consistency. These two important life skills will create stability within their lives. But NO that type of therapy is not offered to anyone including anyone with insurance. You know for a country that constantly tells everyone that they have to STOP treating Mental Health Like it is something to be ashamed of, we really have a VERY LONG WAY to go before that is ever a reality!!!! If someone could just answer my first question about Art therapy in Virginia I would be really happy about that!!!!
