SFC Private RallyPoint Member 99536 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So I have been trying to talk to my branch manager to find me a different pin point assignment in Europe and has been unsuccessful of late. The last time I talked to him I ask if I could volunteer for Airborne school in route so I could possibly go to 173rd ABN DIV. Well the response I got was first my MOS is 100% on airborne SSG's, second he told me I don't want to jump out of airplanes since it will hurt my knees, and last lee there still no positions open in Europe for me besides the one I have know. Little confused you would think he would wont more airborne qualified soldiers just like they want more air assault qualified soldiers. I don't see the problem in jumping out of an airplane sounds like a great time like repealing out of a Blackhawk. And also a little frustrated theirs still "No other openings" so I'm told.  Volunteering for Airborne School but getting "no positions open" - anything else one can do? 2014-04-11T18:58:29-04:00 SFC Private RallyPoint Member 99536 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So I have been trying to talk to my branch manager to find me a different pin point assignment in Europe and has been unsuccessful of late. It is a great time, but will take a toll on your body that is for sure. Don't ask me how to get to Italy, I requested but never received, however I will be taking my wife there in Sept. for our 10 year anniversary. I don't know what your situation is as far as Reenlistment, but the next time that comes around you could always ask for Airborne School as a Reenlistment Option. The are currently recruiting and it's posted on HRC website. Airborne is a requirement for CA, this maybe an option for you. I would look into it. I hope this helps Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 1 at 2015 6:15 AM 2015-11-01T06:15:37-05:00 2015-11-01T06:15:37-05:00 PFC Tuan Trang 1299857 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I guess keep trying til there a slot open ssg.
