I respected and hated the Soviets. Electing their potential capabilities wouldn't have kept me from passing nuclear launch orders along or plotting data when in trail so we could put a MK-48 in them. If you don't respect your enemy, you'll be overconfident and wind up dead.

Whenever the discussion turns touchy feely on what we call an enemy, more of us die needlessly. An enemy needs to be destroyed quickly and efficiently. Any other discussion is a distraction. We've become so mired in everything else, it's no wonder the military continues to be neutered.
