Sleeping away in the tent. Got woken up at 0200 for a roving guard watch that I had NO IDEA I was on the list for. So, naturally, I get up and go out for duty and HOPING the Sergeant of the Guard would be out there. She was. So, I politely ask where was the DA 6 posted and why I was not notified prior to getting woken up. She said there wasn't a list made just names written on a paper, and said it was posted in the 1SG's tent. My brain called BS but I still did the job. Those twisted, evil, cruel, bastages wearing brown rounds at Benning would approve the fire watch schedule and then remove the clock. That was when you knew who the blue falcons really were. I must have pulled 3 shifts instead of one. I watched one punk wait 10 minutes and wake the next guy up. He'd sneak into the barracks during the night regularly, usually through a ceiling tile, and land on the floor as stealthily as a cat. If he caught you sleeping or doing something you weren't supposed to be doing, you'd either have fire guard by yourself the next night for the whole night, CQ, or some other cruel payment.
