Was anybody exposed to Agent Orange at Cadena Air Base, Okinawa, in the early 1970s?

I was a Crew Chief on F-4s and worked at the 780 equipment shop while serving at Cadena. I have multiple myeloma which has been connected to Agent Orange in the VA handbook. I have recently found evidence that Agent Orange was used, stored and buried on Cadena Air Base. I am currently awaiting a decision on a VA disability claim. There have been cases where multiple myeloma was connected to exposure to JP4 and JP8 jet fuel as well, and these veterans' claims were granted. I first filed my claim connecting my disease to jet fuel exposure in 2011, and it was denied because the VA wouldn't connect jet fuel to the cause of my disease. In August 2018 I filed a claim to reopen my first claim due to the new evidence I found relating to Agent Orange at Cadena. I'm still waiting.

Oops, I see where I misspelled a word in my discussion. I inadvertently spelled Kadena Air Base with a "C."

Keep the faith MSgt Burkey. Took me ten years for most of my claims. By the way, for accuracy's sake, when you file it was Kadena

Keep filing and do it every month. File an appear. The form can be downloaded on the VA's website.
