For those who want to reach out to those who are hurting but don’t know how, it provides encouragement – and suggestions – so that they can start that conversation. And it encourages all of us to share our own struggles – because we all have them. By sharing our challenges and our successes we provide hope. We become part of the solution for ourselves and those we love.

"Most novels on the Vietnam War cover combat actions in country, far less tell the story of what was happening during that same time frame back home. "No Flags Did Wave" by Tim Klie (a Vietnam veteran himself) tells the riveting story of an officer just returned from combat, visiting the families of Marines from his unit killed in action. Once picked up it was difficult to put down as our main character witnessed and experienced the wide range of emotions and beliefs that permeated our country at that time. A must read for anyone interested in the mood in our country during that era punctuated with flash backs to combat actions in Vietnam."

BOOK REVIEWS for “No Flags Did Wave” by Timothy F. Klie

If you like a book about badass Marine who rids a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, you’ll love this story. His righteous indignation and take no prisoners attitude rub contrary to the tremulous vibe of the late 1960s story background. The twist and turns make it difficult to put this book down. Read this book!
