If the Soldier fails the H/W then, they could be flagged at that point for 600-9 even though they passed the APFT. But I have been taped without taking the APFT, but that was only because I passed the APFT. For ease of company administration, they are usually done within a week of an APFT, per 600-9. If that APFT is a record APFT, then the weigh-in is required within 7 days before or after the APFT. AR 350-1, Appendix G, para G-9, g. (3). requires the weigh-in with the record APFT. AR 600-9, para 3-4 dictates that it will be within 7 days of the APFT.<br /><br />I hope this clears up your question.
