Whaat policy or regulation covers the proper headcount procedures?

So I was read da pam 30-22 and AR 30-22 looking for where it said I couldn't be 92gs providing headcount personnel.
So to provide context to this question this the details. Our brigade CSM told us for next 30 days the 92gs had pull headcount from our staff due to them over taking their personnel. I was always told that as 92gs we were not allowed to headcount. So I was wondering if anyone could show me black and white on that.

Head Count is supposed to be done by another NCO other than a 92G. But us cooks can do it if no other NCO is available. That is what I have been told. So I am not sure. Seems to me like your Brigade CSM rather have you cooks do it instead.

Nothing says that cooks can't do it, it's a matter of common sense. Headcount is borrowed military manpower, you don't borrow from the people borrowing it. It's like cooks pulling KP. Of course they "can" pull KP, but why pull someone from a skilled labor position to perform an unskilled labor job?

company had to supply headcount from CQ or assistant runner cooks weren't allowed to pull headcount for reasons I can tell if not all personnel signed in or weren't around we could use there meal card numbers sign them in keep records straight !! strange but true staff duty officer ate at night or morning paid half price we never knew when they'd show up !! that's was back in `1980 /83 when I was active

No policy of that type exists unless it is a Garrison or command policy. If the CSM directs that it occur, it will be done. Thank you for your service.

It's more about the cash collection not the headcount. Typically the person doing yhe headcount is collecting money they cannot be a 92G due to the conflict of interest.

As a former 92G we should not pull headcount because we know how to circumvent the system and add more numbers to the books. But on the flip side if the BDE is out in the FLD and RD has it open the yes we can pull HE

Actually there is regulation on 92Gs not conducting headcount. It’s a conflict of interest basically. It’s a check and balance for the money.
