what a could a 13B E6 expect out of a 7th army training command (Germany) assignment

A buddy of mine just re-enlisted for Germany. Expected to go to 2CR but his requisition status says 7th army training command. What type of job could this be OC? Range control?

Is 7th army the JRTC/NTC unit out there?

More than likley OC. From what I understand last talking to an E7 OC out there its big boy rules. Can be long hours when on cycle but a decent amount of time off if you are not doing back to back rotations.

Yes that's part of what that command is but they also train army's in Europe

Could be OC, could be OPFOR, could also be a staff job at JMTC or JMRC... Could be a lot of things

Im am also a 13z and did time at honenfels as an OC-T. All the positions at JMRC for 13B are 40 postions. That Soldier may be going to teach at BLC. There are some 13B30 postions also at JMRC in the operations side of the house. The best way to find out is contact JMTC G-1.

Also i doubt it is an OC job because i have recently called HRC and had several of my E7 placed on assignment there and there is an interview and screening process. Of that Soldier has not been contacted by the team CSM more then likely its not an OC job. As for OPFOR there are no slots for a 13B on the OPFOR team most of those guys are infantry or scouts. he will probably work with onebof the OC teams .. If he is a 13B with the fire support OC or he could be assigned to the Grizzlies or Timberwolves OC Those are the two major maneuver teams that run units through the the "box".. its about 40 to 50 days of training in thw field ..e days xdays and prep days then you rorate out for the next team
