Really? Sure there are a lot. Just one comes to mind for me.

The ability to disconnect from it.

Why?

Technology has flaws that be fatal. Technology can be manipulated. Every advancement in technology has eventually had a counter technology to gain advantages.

The ability to disconnect from it is the best human action that can be had.

No one, no humankind, has the ability to condition themselves to continue to operate in a code red or heightened mental alert status 24/7/365...for days, weeks, months, years, decades... Rest assured, rest must be taken at some point in time....and... in simple terms...

If your a bad guy with a gun? The good guy with a gun and patience will succeed.

IMHO humankind has not reached its peak. Therefore Technology hasn't had the opportunity to peak either... and we, humankind, are never going to peak.... its in our DNA.

They might find a benefit in going back to the basics and depending less of technology and more on Human skills and insure through proper training they have the skills they needed. Far too often a funtional traditional machine with a human operator can do things technology cannot duplicate. I'm NOT again advancements in research and technology but they are not always the cure all and machine actually do NOT think, they do what they are programed to do.

Pie in the sky?

I'd love to see a radiation eating robot. Or bacteria. Go to a place where a nuke had been dropped - or a power plant has melted down / been overcome (Chernobyl, 3-mile island, Fukushima, etc.), Set the bot / bug loose, and let it eat up all of the radiation, making it safe for humans - and other life forms - again.

Bonus if it works for nuclear waste, as well.

I'm thinking drone aircraft on a carrier. Without pilots, the jet could be launched at great speed/Gs. Pilots safe in computer room flying the drone jets. Even possible for shorter carriers due to ultra fast launch, no need for long launch deck.? just guesssing.

I think they would benefit more from a slew of clinical trials for every illness they come home with. Clinical trials can lead to cures or possibly a way to have some sort of decent life. Our Veterans are dying left and right. Get them off the streets, open up clinical trials, get them the help they need to tackle this life as a disabled Vet.

I believe the most critical advances in military technology should emphasis improving computer software and hardware, sensor systems (biological and chemical), weapon systems and robotics. Technology on the whole has become a crutch for far too many people and in too many sectors of society. People that have access to information tend to get lazy and almost never consider the source of the data they review. That being said however, being a vet and a former IT security professional I would have to lean toward more defensive low tech body armor to increase survivability and an increased use of intervention tech like; unmanned assault vehicles, networked micro drones that identify and relay visual/audio to troops on the ground of their immediate surrounding area to avoid ambush, superior numbers, etc...

I believe we definitely need to invest in AI but with humans still in the loop. Computers and AI can assist with decision making, filtering data, and identifying targets rapidly but we still have to have a human in the loop. We also should double down on 3D and 4D printers. 3D printers could allow us to reduce our logistical tail and enable us to "print" our own parts on the move. 4D printing is just coming into light and allows for the medical community to use cells to form skin which then morphs to the area it is applied. These small investments would allow our DoD Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines to operate more autonomously, maintain flexibility, and be more survivable on the future battlefield.

I believe that implementing the best technological advancements in the Medical field would benefit the health and morale of each service member. Too many military clinics and hospitals are relying on outdated diagnostic equipment. The supply chain for the parts to repair these older units is often disrupted and backlogged. Perhaps optics that don't rely on any type of technology or power source otherwise the only technology that I trust is the 1940s and 50s tec that was hardened against nukes because of the 2 we had just dropped a few years ago. Even that is not a good thing to rely on, good old fashioned mountain training and survival skills at least for a month during basic training with no technology .

Using technology to assess the intelligence and loyalty of our top generals. It appears that our leading military generals have gone woke and are destroying morale and fighting efficiency of our military personnel. Microchips inserted in those on active duty would make it easier to locate a missing squad member when in combat and they would make it infinitely easier to identify a battlefield casualty. All pertinent information about the soldier, ie, blood type, SSN, etc... could be loaded onto the chip. They are available for domestic animals and are pretty painless when inserted. This could replace dog tags which can be noisy and they reflect light. I would only advocate for this if there is an understanding that the chip must be removed upon discharge from military service. No one should be allowed to re-enter civilian life with the chip still embedded.

While I share the sentiments of those who have been in longer and personally brought the battle to the front lines who mention moving away from tech reliance and focusing closely on the foundational skills of soldiering and their respective job specialties, I feel that our technological advances in mental health treatment including computer aided desentitization for those suffering from PTSD is a game-changing tool that should be employed more widely and funded liberally. Medicine alone has shown limited success in this arena.

3D Printing. I recently shared a slide about how one of my soldiers used what he was learning in college to 3D print a button for a surveillance scout system. We used to wait forever for those to come in or replace whole $16,000 handgrips. Now we have hundreds even in different colors. It can be applied to so much more in maintenance.

There cannot be any great advancements when we humans program them. We are all flawed and make mistakes. We need to have the backups that were created years ago to help when the current technology breaks, goes down or is manipulated by our enemy or even ourselves. A good example is sunspots disrupting our communciations, sabatogue or even good old human mistakes. We need reliable backups for each and everything that we use. We have to go forward with the good old yankee know how. We do not need to rely completely on all of our technological advances. We need that good old backup plan. If something happens to the lasers that guide our rockets and missiles to their targets, a backup has to be built in to complete the task. That rocket or missile has to hit it's target for is to win the next big war. With all of Russia's military technology, it is still loosing to a country that acted just like this country did in.1775. Their citizens stepped up and fought off the Russians oppressors.
Lets get real now. Specific advances in technology benefit specific services. The navy has the magnetic advances in new aircraft carrier launches, landing systems. It also is used to bring bombs, rockets and munitions from below to the flight deck for reariming aircraft. Most of the services now use droans and improved droans to scout the enemy, launch weapons to kill the enemy even destroy some of their weapons. CAD is used to help design ships, aircraft and weapons. There is not really any one benefit from today's technology. Today's technology has benefitted each and every service member no matter what the persons rank is and their branch of service

I keep seeing advancements being made with micro-devices that can detect ailments. In my 20-year career, I saw a lot of good men who had mysterious ailments our HM Corpsmen were not able to diagnose. A few of my buddies got discharged due to those ailments, and civilian MD doctors easily made the diagnoses and got those men fixed. I understand we can not put MD doctors in every unit or vessel, but technological advancement is going on, and our HM Corpsmen and Medics could be made a whole lot better.

Medical technology in the military has zoomed from the 50s and 60s and 70s when technology was really running a race. But, today, medical technolgy can often see what might happen to a soldier and lets the medics and doctors have a better idea of what preventives might do for the patient, and what medications could slow or even stop the probable disease or condition that technology often forsees what might be coming around the corner. "Preventive Medicine", is a wonderful card in the game of "heatlh", and when we can stop a disease or other posslbe redundancy with the patient's possible natural health problems. The sooner we stop or recognize what might be coming, technology these days, often lets us get ahead of a condition that is probable at some point.

Over the last 15 years the Military has changed drastically. Before Medically Retiring in 2021 I thought I saw it all. Technology today is advancing rapidly month to month, year to year.
Overall I believe if we use virtual reality simulations to train and prepare our military to defend against any kind of situation.. Like the military pledge to protect and defend the American Way of life
Against All enemies foreign or domestic during wartime or peacetime. I strongly believe the military would benefit greatly. Just maybe during wartime The US Military will not have to sacrifice all for this Great Country. With the Militsry turning to the "The "Fit To Fight". Moto. Which is not only physically and mentally. It is also being prepared just in case our military needs to be called upon at a moments notice. Virtual Reality may give our men and women a fighting case to wo the next war or just to come home safely.
When I was in Iraq we didn't have virtual reality. So at times we we're going in blind, not quite knowing the enemy and the enemies tactics would change and we would lose my brothers and sister of Arms. Hopefully with the new Advancements in Technology today and in The furure. Maybe just Maybe Virtual Reality i
Simulations will turn the tides and We will be ready for the unexpected. I was grateful and proud to d so serve America and United States Active duty Army. I pray 8b the future we will be Fit To Fight.

I think that more emphasis should be placed on Japanese models of efficiency. Such as kaizen. This would streamline a lot of waste in the military and place a significance on production while being lean and flexible.

The technology that makes a gas powered rifle go boom and accurately hit a target at 300 meters is relatively unobtrusive to the common military member. In a similar fashion, I see that distributed data architecture will over time allow data streaming in real-time from conflict zones will be analyzed as the data comes in and immediately feed back the results. The average grunt won't have to worry about data engineering but it will be integrated into every system they touch.

Today's Military would best benefit in the advancement of artificial intelligence. AI today is fairly rudimentary, but getting better. More funding should be devoted to AI, specifically complex situational awareness, for example, identifying friends and foe in a dynamic situation. I believe we have automatic targeting already, but being able to identify a friendly or when deescalation is better than elimination would be huge. Just the opinion of a grunt...

No technology honestly. When I joined the Marine Corp in 2006 the M777 was introduced right before I joined. The system has so many technology issues. I had 0811 buddies that missed the M198 because it was simple and didn't always break.
Yes technology is nice in some aspects but it was simpler without all the technological bells and whistles. There's always been a saying that I live by, K.I.S.S. "KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID". It'll make life easier.

I know that the technology of AI has a definite and certain future. I do not see that the future will be most beneficial to most individuals but I do believe that AI will not fall when the hardest times come and the need for trained AI specialists will be greatly needed. I truly think drones/unmanned aircraft are a great advantage. We are able to fire off rounds or drop even minute missiles and save lives on the front lines by not having to send people in first. All of it can also be done from afar adding even more safety to troops on the ground. Not to mention they can also be used for support in finding things or to drop supplies into high risk areas. Surveillance from drones/unmanned aircraft can allow us to see more or get into places that are not possible otherwise.

Small with a huge impact to the average warfighter. Advancements in smaller and longer lasting batteries. From the technician to the boots on the front lines not having to worry about your flashlight dying in the middle of what you are doing is a huge bonus. Lighter and longer lasting also means smaller and gives the warfighter the ability to carry more of what they need to take the fight to the enemy. Smaller and lighter batteries also means we can get more technology into the field and in the hands of those who need it on the front lines i.e. drones, medical equipment, optics, etc...

SHOT LOCATOR- A device that would let a soldier know direction of incoming small arms fire, distance would be a bonus. I believe that the military should train more. In the past the military would go to the National Training Center (NTC) or the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) regularly. We are not training units and leaders as we did in the past and the military is weaker because of this. We must return to difficult in person training to keep units and leaders sharp and ready for war. Weak units and leaders must be weeded out or retrained during hard difficult realistic training not during combat. Traditionally, The American Military is beaten badly with high casualties during its introduction to combat (Kassirine Pass, Task Force Smith etc...). Training at the NTC and JRTC resulted in low casualty Desert Storm and initial victories in Afghanistan and Iraq.

You heard the saying, "if only we had the minds of a babe". I think the children, of today are so much more advance in technology than ever before. I believe every Military or Veteran, should be given the education and tools to understand how technology works for one. Free of charge without using any educational benefits. The other, I have worked in retail for over 16 years and there is nothing better than good old Customer Service. The one-on-one communication, too much is being geared towards technology. Technology is only as good as the operator. When all our Military, Veterans, and Retirees just want is to be heard and their concerns taken seriously. I hate calling and listening to prompts and never reaching a actual human being. Some of the advancements would be to get all veterans in their eras of service via technology. There are so many Veterans, suffering in silence that have never received their due disability benefits. Through technology we can reach out to those we know for example served in Vietnam and may have ailments associated to their service. Therefore, with technology we can reach out to them for proper evaluations and give them what they deserve. I am a advocate in informing Veterans on their benefits by word of mouth. Today's military would most benefit from technologies that decrease risk in human lives. Weapons technologies are reaching a point where differences in quality are negligible. We can look at the current conflict between Russia and Ukraine as an example of this. Russia had a significant advantage in resources available, though the level of that technology is relatively similar to Ukraine's. Given the greater resources available most people would assume (myself included) Russia would have been able to overtake Ukraine relatively quickly. Ukraine has the advantage they are fighting in their own country, and are more invested emotionally, but their resistance has been unprecedented. I think it's reasonable to look at this conflict as a microcosm of what physical warfare (minus nuclear, chemical, etc.) between nations will look like in the present day. A force with significantly greater resources can't, for lack of a better word, steamroll a smaller force anymore. Physical warfare is costly to the militaries and nations both in terms of economics and human lives.
As the world becomes increasingly digital, so will warfare. Most nations depend on cyber technologies to function: communications, finances, asset management, security, infrastructure development, etc. This reliance is only increasing, exponentially. The military that will have the greatest advantage in warfare will be the one that has the most advanced cyber warfare technology. At best, this military would be able to cripple the opposing nation's operations and end a conflict, before risking any lives. At worst, this military would be able to give themselves a significant advantage should physical warfare still be enacted due to interrupting opponents communications, finances, supply lines, and more.
Development in cyber warfare would not only lessen the rick of human lives, but be more cost-effective as well, allowing resources to be redirected elsewhere, ideally improving quality of life for service members and veterans.

The future of technology, both for today's and our future military, rest on the development of AI (artificial intelligence). Humans have the most developed brains on the planet, but to develop and integrate future systems beyond the abilities and defenses of our adversaries, we need to discover how to connect many minds in many diverse disciplines into singular platforms.

It is essential to develop neural networks and networked AI, not just for the warfighter but also in the development of new material, weapons, weapon delivery and communication. We require new ideas for both offensive and defensive platforms. We must develop ways to anticipate, understand, outperform and obviate oppositional systems.

DARPA should be one of our foremost role models. Don’t dismiss an idea because you haven’t thought of it, don’t understand it or can’t see its profit stream. We must eliminate partisan politics, myopia, and the strict focus on profit. We must eliminate the “good ole’ boys club” attitude that the “big boys” will steal from the little guy with impunity. We must eliminate the old way of doing business under the table as often as over.

I think today's military would benefit the most from the incorporation of Virtual Reality technology into various aspects of force management and treatment. On-the-job training given via hyper-realistic, simulated real-life scenarios would create a more immersive, and most importantly, interesting, learning environment for soldiers. Interest is fundamental in learning as it not only engages the student in the material being presented, it also allows access to regions of the brain involved in long-term memory formation. Research indicates (Hidi & Harackiewicz, 2000) that an engaged human mind processes information in a way that is not only more effective--but also self-sustaining.

When I reminisce upon my own technical training as a meteorologist at Keesler, and imagine those lessons aided by visual imagery–whether it be through virtual experiences showing me the process in which thunderstorms form hail, or how the physics of air is so uniquely layered– I know for certain that 19-year old me would have paid a great deal more attention to what the Air Force wanted me to learn. The United States military has always been on the cutting edge of technology. Incorporating something like this – either through $299 Oculus headsets or some more specialized version– is not outside the realm of possibilities for our country.

Finally, the investment into technology such as Virtual Learning is an investment that would pay for itself and then some. New training programs that harness VR's interactive visual stimuli and problem-based learning models could be streamlined and custom-tailored. Retention of the material would also be higher, driving down the error rate, and thus, the costs associated with internal mistakes. A more interactive, personalized approach to education would solve the impending issue of the TikTok Generation's inability to concentrate. The youth will inherit the Earth, as they say, so it would be in our best interests to anticipate their needs.

All this and I haven't even touched on the possibilities that VR technology offers in trauma recovery and the treatment of various mental health ailments! Truly, the possibilities are endless.

There have been so many technology advances in the past few years that I would think tech is already being implemented with the military. R&D for weapons has always been a key spot, but tech had evolved in health to allow civilian to be more active so the benefits for the military to use that can be much greater. Having a more fit and mental military can allow for more collaboration and independent thinking that can benefit the induvial as well as the group.

US Military must be prepared to successful fight a Cyber War. With my 24 years federal government background I understand the growing need to protect or access control data. The military should be in demand for people with crucial skills in logical thinking and attention to details to manage critical infrastructures. Enemy personnel should be exploited for weak points, leaving it open for military hackers to take advantage of these and harm your system. I recommend Cyber Guardians prepared for Cyberwarfare.
Cyber security is the protection needed for internet intrusion. A country network includes hardware, software and data all need to be protected from cyber-threats. Cyber security is used to protect against unauthorized access to data centers and other computerized systems.
Now days, cyberattacks can come from a variety of places and in a variety of forms. Some types of threats are more invasive than others, but they can all be equally jarring for a country left unprepared. Research shows that exposed files has risen 50% since 2018. But with the right cyber security support exposure can be reduced. The United States is the worst country in the world for exposing the highest amount of data. Files could be copied, altered, or destroyed. Many countries have come to understand the importance of addressing internet security. 90 percent of data breaches are caused by a human-made mistake or behavior, and further data from the survey mentioned above suggests that personnel ignorance is one of the leading contributors.
I would strongly suggest Cyber Guardian. The need to help ensure the US military understand the responsibilities to protect critical infrastructure to preventing cyber-threats. The purpose of security awareness training is to develop essential competencies and introduce them to new techniques and methods that have been introduced to tackle possible security issues. The US military must become aware that everyone in the organization (not just IT security) needs to understand the risks and defensive strategies to help prevent data breaches.

Having been a healthcare provider in the military for over twenty years and retired with 29 years of service, the most important tech advancement would be for the military healthcare records system to be of the same system that the VA utilizes so that the two systems can speak seamlessly. Communications is the technology that is most beneficial to troops. There are plenty of pretty smart people working on technologies in support of combat and other operations. Troops who have the ability to communicate with their families and others has an immmediate impact on morale, which improves retention. I was on a submarine with no family contact for the months underway. This was a major factor in leaving active service. Hopefully the secure technologies available make a military career easier for troops and their families.

Although mediated communications (i.e. email and messaging), which the Veterans Administration has adopted, alongside the greater society, relatedness remains a basic psychological need universally. Therefore, by better understanding the nonverbal cues of effort, style, and tone the Veterans Administration could enhance not only the motivation of veterans to engage in treatment(s) but aid in building a more cohesive veterans' community. This would benefit both the veteran and the Veterans Administration. In conclusion, humanizing mediated communications would encourage veterans to engage more with providers and in them seeking treatment prior to minor issues becoming critical issues. This would result in lower costs in providing services and care.

There will be a point in time where many medical functions will be detected by using a small wearable device (such as a skin patch), connected thru a smart phone and sent to the VA doctor for analysis. This will replace the need for many face to face doctor visits unless the a serious issue is detected.

Some VA patients have to travel a great distance to get from their home to the nearest VA facility. Distance non-emergency medical care will be the norm.

The answer is greater than mere technology. Human relate-ability seems to be the characteristic needed most between doctor and patient. If I see my doctor for 15 minutes twice a year, and then must trust him with my very life on decisions he must make, without knowing who I am, it is easy to become---rightly---skeptical, fearful, and anxious. As a child, my doctor came to my home. He knew my parents, and he knew me---more than merely statistically. He knew the person, and I trusted him. Technology is void of attributes such as compassion, understanding and concern. It is human contact, more than technology, that makes a man whole and complete.

U.S. healthcare system has always been plagued by different issues in which its main contributors were: cost, access, quality, fair reimbursement and increase efficiency to create a better care outcome (Goldsteen, Goldsteen, & Goldsteen, 2019). Affordable Care Act was enacted assuming to help with the inundated health care system and include reducing fraud waste and abuse. Within this current health care law, the Centers of Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) propagated a $37 billion dollars incentive payment for Electronic Health Records and dubbed it Meaningful Use (Sanhi, Huckman, Chigurupat, & David, 2017).
The adaptation of Electronic Health Records (EHR) through the incentive program of Meaningful Use promised to set forth numerous benefits such as decreased cost, better care, and better quality. The incentive program requires minimum standards to replace paper records with the current electronic systems. This provides opportunities for both practice and software makers. The lack of comprehensive functionality and guideline process through regulations of Meaningful Use created the most expensive and consequential risks of fraud, waste, and abuse (Brown, Pasupathy, Patrick, & Timothy 2019). Its poor construction has not only jeopardized the integrity of the information it requires to uphold. But in heavy consequences, opened the pandora box to those with the pure intention of “self-benefit” and leave the consequences to those who will have to bear the risks.
In 2012 the number of Health Information Technology (HIT) vendors boomed resulting in the poor implementation of the technology system. Instead of approaching EHR as a transformational tool, it was subjected to mere technical issues to allow clinicians to document, code, and bill. The $37 billion dollars initiative’s lack of implementation in its infrastructure and functionality remains in need to be addressed to include its promise to set forth the decrease in cost, better care, and increase quality care outcome (Sanhi, et. al., 2017). EHR will require to be embedded in the process of health service and delivery of care with continuous evaluation, modification, and implementation to have the capability to support in transformational process (Brown, et al., 2019).
Health care administrators have prioritized their process for technology use and quality improvement through the means of billing, coding, claims to monitor, and error checking (Brown, et al., 2019). Clinicians remain beleaguered in trying to abide by its administrative burden and provide care for their patients. EHR has indicated a wrong pretense in improving its quality through the means of increasing reimbursement and cutting administrative costs. The dysfunctionality of the EHR has interfered with the workflow process, data integrity, lack of quality control, and increase in overhead costs.
Our nation has been slow to adopt a solution to our inundated healthcare system; it is not simply because we lack the technology as other nation does, nor do we spend less on our healthcare system. Our health care system suffers due to political debate over the healthcare legislature (Schneider, & Squires, 2017). And our healthcare laws and or reform have always been muddled with political agenda (Goldsteen, et. al., 2019). Instead of observing the whole picture, political ideology always tended to say that something is “better” than the other simply because to address the surface of the issue and or it is more beneficial for one pool of the population. Our government never really fully looked at the whole picture to see if the law and or policy will resolve into heavy consequences or grievances on others. As long as the political agenda takes priority, policymakers will only address the current obvious issue and will not treat the whole healthcare problem as different parts that are mutually codependent with each other (Goldsteen, et. al., 2019). To improve healthcare delivery, changes must be all-embracing by all participants of healthcare; by the consumers, policymakers, and the healthcare providers to completely resolve the problem.
The U.S. healthcare system is plagued by different issues in which the main contributors are cost, quality, and access to care. Healthcare without quality measures clearly is not a means to create an efficient and effective medical system. In which medical provision with a lack of observation and accountability for adequate quality can incur high costs without necessarily improving care (Marjoua & Bozic, 2012). The uniqueness and complexity of our healthcare system do create several multilayered issues. However, imagine such a healthcare system that allows data information to be disseminated freely and safely. Such linked platforms will allow for the elimination of data redundancy and produce an effective and efficient healthcare outcome. Healthcare organizations will now become a giant industry in which they can accommodate any treatment and care in multiple facilities that are interconnected. Cost, quality, and access to care will then no longer be an issue within our healthcare system nor a control within political agendas.

Honestly, I think it would benefit for our military to go back to the basic. If we stop depending on so much technology that now it makes are military soft in a way. I remember when I was in basic training and getting smoked for doing something wrong, but now that doesn't exist. I am not against advancements in research and technology, but it is not the answer to everything.

I am twisting the question a little bit, because these are thing that have happened, but my thoughts are still in the spirit of the question.
- Real-time battlefield communications/imagery has hurt the NCO corps and small-unit leadership in general. When senior officers in command centers became able to witness combat actions firsthand, many are unable to resist the temptation of trying to control actions at the tactical level. The technology is good, but the change agent is needed for the users.
- Upgrading from manual transmissions to automatic; I think is bad technology. The advantages of a manual transmission are great, but the "ease" of automatic transmissions for the vehicle operator removes a training competency that disadvantages the operator and maintenance personnel in the long run.
+ LED technology. LED lighting capability is lightweight, low temperature, and versatile as all get out.
While LED is not the "breakthrough technology", I think back to flat-screen televisions and the great advantages they afforded for small spaces. Particularly on submarines (and ships), flat-screen televisions benefitted Sailors immeasurably.
+ Medical advances. The development of Lifesaving equipment, supplies, and know-how has revolutionized medical trauma actions in the field and in the hospital. The development of prosthetics and other durable medical equipment has also provided the wounded with better quality of life opportunities (though I acknowledge this is not the ideal outcome).

There have been so many amazing improvements I have witnessed over the past 30 years of service. Nearly every aspect of the military has been blessed with some new technology. Thermal imagery, seeing through walls, GPS, the smartphone, improved combat headgear, improved uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE), potable water delivery systems, electrical power generation, batteries, cameras, the list goes on and on.
Finally...in World War II, the members of the United States Armed Forces were the best fed, most regarded persons of the war. Simply look at the quality of life on board submarines, no one had it better than the U.S.
Although this is much more to identify and discuss, that is it for today.

Hi-tec is good, many plus points, but when it goes down there always needs to be a plan B. I have been there, during war when hi-tec failed. Lucky I was old school and had plan "B" ready. We were able to complete the mission. I believe too much focus is put on soldiers depending on hi-tec and not enough on causing situations where soldiers have to think. Many moons ago as a 12B squad leader I was issued a pocket calculator to assist in doing demo calculations, but when it came time to take the SQT (dating myself), was not allowed. I had to prove I could do all the demo formulas by hand.

I am against war & the needless loss of life. As advanced as technology is today, using AI robots to send into hot zones would be sensible. This would reduce deaths, physical injuries, mental trauma, & high cost of care for the survivors. Money that could instead be used for Homeless Veterans, or other Veterans in need.
