If so, I would ask that NCO whether most of the questions were geared toward the new ADP/ADRP format, the old Army Study Guide format, a scenario format, or a combination of all three.

First, I would get a copy of the most recent M.O.I. from my battalion S-1 to find out exactly which topics will be covered on the next board. I'd download a study-guide app on my phone to help me study those particular topics. For ADP/ADRP boards, I would download an app called "ADP Study Guide." For the traditional Army Study Guide boards, I'd go to http://www.armystudyguide.com and download the flashcards applicable to the topics mentioned on the M.O.I. For scenario formats, I would seek info from NCOs in my battalion as well as those on-line (e.g. threads here on RallyPoint and on Facebook's "Lead from the Front" page) to get examples of scenario questions that might be asked.

Second, I would ensure that I know the most current Chain of Command and NCO Support Channel.

Third, I would ensure that I know the Creed of the Noncommissioned Officer from front to back. Also, remember that the first letter in each paragraph of the NCO Creed actually spells out "N C O."

Fourth, I'd ensure that I know my unit/division's song, motto, history, and description of the unit insignia.

Finally, on the day of the board, I'd refresh my knowledge of current events by reading STRIPES.COM, NEWS.YAHOO.COM, CNN.COM, and FOXNEWS.COM.

Show confidence in all situations. Good luck at the board! It's more fun that it seems. =)

ArmyStudyGuide.com - A FREE Online and Audio Army Board Study Guide for U.S. Army Promotion...

A FREE Online and Audio Army Board Study Guide for U.S. Army Promotion Boards and Soldier / NCO Boards.

SGT Private RallyPoint Member Wed, 20 Apr 2016 22:38:00 -0400 2016-04-20T22:38:00-04:00 Response by SGT Lloyd Burge made Apr 20 at 2016 11:03 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-advice-and-or-websites-would-you-recommend-to-study-and-prepare-for-a-promotion-board?n=1467585&urlhash=1467585

An experience that thank god was not me. A lot of them hate to study from a book but found it helpful to listen while they are working out or driving in their cars.
