SPC Private RallyPoint Member 4917486 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Im going to raise my Gt. score after the FAST I just signed up for. I know I have to take a SIFT test and the flight physical. I have completed 20 college credits since I’ve been in and have a pt score of 278. I don’t know how hard the board will be on me when it comes to selection. Is there anyone I could ask for letters of recommendation besides the ones required? My biggest fear is doing all this work for nothing. What advice can you give me to help build my packet for a flight warrant officer? 2019-08-15T01:09:46-04:00 SPC Private RallyPoint Member 4917486 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Im going to raise my Gt. score after the FAST I just signed up for. Don&#39;t self eliminate. Submit your JST to a college to get more college credits as well as talk to pilots to see if they can introduce you to a local w5 Response by WO1 Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 15 at 2019 4:40 AM 2019-08-15T04:40:08-04:00 2019-08-15T04:40:08-04:00 SGT Joseph Gunderson 4917959 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Go hang out at the flight line. Tell the warrants what you&#39;re trying to do, let them get to know you--it wouldn&#39;t hurt to get them a cup of coffee or something--and see how many of them will write you letters. The more the merrier. You&#39;ll be fine. Make sure to study up on the SIFT or whatever it is now. I took the AFAST during my second deployment; didn&#39;t study at all and earned a 110 (only a 90 was required). Good luck. Don&#39;t sweat it either, SIFT is basically the ASVAB with a few Aviation tailored sections. You can find study guides on Amazon or in your local clothing and sales to help prepare. <br /><br />Are you NG or Reserve? They are the only ones that would have an actual board for you to attend to get selected for WOCS. Active Duty is completely different.<br /><br />Read everything you can on this website to help you fill your packet out. <br /><br /><a target="_blank" href="https://recruiting.army.mil/ISO/AWOR/">https://recruiting.army.mil/ISO/AWOR/</a> <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default"> <div class="pta-link-card-picture"> <img src="https://d26horl2n8pviu.cloudfront.net/link_data_pictures/images/000/425/618/qrc/logo.png?1565882510"> </div> <div class="pta-link-card-content"> <p class="pta-link-card-title"> <a target="blank" href="https://recruiting.army.mil/ISO/AWOR/"> U.S. Army Warrant Officer Recruiting</a> </p> <p class="pta-link-card-description">The official website for the Army Recruiting Command (USAREC)</p> </div> <div class="clearfix"></div> </div> Response by CW2 Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 15 at 2019 11:30 AM 2019-08-15T11:30:28-04:00 2019-08-15T11:30:28-04:00 CW4 Anthony Carbo 4919029 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Make sure you get the endorsment and recommend by a FIELD GRADE AVN OFFICER (Major or above Response by CW4 Anthony Carbo made Aug 15 at 2019 12:46 PM 2019-08-15T12:46:26-04:00 2019-08-15T12:46:26-04:00 CW4 Anthony Carbo 4919035 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Getting into Flight School is one thing, staying the course is something else all togather. If your packet gets rejected, learn from it, figure it out, and resubmit. WOs never quit.
