What advice can you give me to help build my packet for a flight warrant officer?

Im going to raise my Gt. score after the FAST I just signed up for. I know I have to take a SIFT test and the flight physical. I have completed 20 college credits since I’ve been in and have a pt score of 278. I don’t know how hard the board will be on me when it comes to selection. Is there anyone I could ask for letters of recommendation besides the ones required? My biggest fear is doing all this work for nothing.

Its not for nothing. Don't self eliminate. Submit your JST to a college to get more college credits as well as talk to pilots to see if they can introduce you to a local w5

Go hang out at the flight line. Tell the warrants what you're trying to do, let them get to know you--it wouldn't hurt to get them a cup of coffee or something--and see how many of them will write you letters. The more the merrier. You'll be fine. Make sure to study up on the SIFT or whatever it is now. I took the AFAST during my second deployment; didn't study at all and earned a 110 (only a 90 was required). Good luck.

Focus on raising your GT score first, then knock out the SIFT after. Don't sweat it either, SIFT is basically the ASVAB with a few Aviation tailored sections. You can find study guides on Amazon or in your local clothing and sales to help prepare.

Are you NG or Reserve? They are the only ones that would have an actual board for you to attend to get selected for WOCS. Active Duty is completely different.

Find two Warrant Officers near you to help you with your packet: a younger one who has recently been thru the drill, and a senior one to mentor you thru the process.

Never think wrong.Always try with the good hope that you can be successful.If any time you don't get success then you have to think this that you have come up to this level where you are thinking that would I be successful or not & what about those who even did not come up to this level to even think that they would be successful or not,It means that to come up to this level to think that would you be successful or not it itself a great level.Nothing is hard when you will think that now God has come & God is holding your hand.

If you want it bad enough then it’s not for nothing. If your packet gets rejected, learn from it, figure it out, and resubmit. WOs never quit.
