What advice can you provide for someone considering 15W, 31B, 31D, 19D, 35F? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-advice-can-you-provide-for-someone-considering-15w-31b-31d-19d-35f

So I got out of active duty in 2006. Since then I have decided I want to go back into the guard. I have started this process and am just thinking about what jobs I am interested in. When I was in before I was a 15-S OH-58D Helicopter Repairman but spent most of my time as an A.L.S.E. Technician in the 160th.

I am looking at real world opinions from people in the following MOS's. 15W, 31B, 31D, 19D, 35F. My first choice would be 31B-31D as in the civilian world I am perusing a career in law enforcement but there are rarely open spots for 31B and I have been told it can be hard to get.

Any information is appreciated. They used to be but then it was realized they are federal agents and could not act in their capacity when mobilized by the state. Most of the time you will prepare a product, ie PowerPoint and brief the product to the commander during staff meetings and answer any questions. In. Nutshell you are to become a SME on threat groups within your AO or area you will deploy to to help line companies identify and destroy the threat, SSG Private RallyPoint Member Fri, 20 Oct 2017 23:01:17 -0400 2017-10-20T23:01:17-04:00 Response by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Oct 21 at 2017 12:37 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-advice-can-you-provide-for-someone-considering-15w-31b-31d-19d-35f?n=3019384&urlhash=3019384

15W UAV operator will train on the shadow or gray eagle system. Both systems are used with SOAR. For job opportunities there are several contracting jobs in the unmanned field. Boarder patrol uses UAVs and several police departments have been looking into it as well. The Cadre are all pretty good but the first Sergeant there is weird as hell. The AIT is long but it'll help you out in the long run. You will not gain anything from. It won’t do anything to help you in a civilian law enforcement career.
