Do the minimum enlistment to qualify for education benefits and the GI Bill. Then take your training and get out. Things are getting worse by the week.... And asking for advice while lying about your employment (and name, I suspect) is not a good way to start. You are not Sponge Bob. I was USN, USAR, then USCG and retired. Best twenty years of my career, bar none. A few constructive hours of solid investight ion of the USCG could potentially change his life.
