What advice do you have for someone on orders to PCS, but also on orders to deploy (but not fenced in yet)?

I'm in SLC and received a call from HRC telling me I was selected to PCS to Sill for Ait instructor. My ASK says Fort Sill 10 July 2017 for "on assignment". This is something I've wanted for a long time. But I also have orders for deployment BUT I'm not fenced in. I need input on this. What do I do?

Head for Ft. Sill. Those orders take precedence as the date of that assignment precedes the orders to deploy. When you are settled in at Ft. Sill enjoy your tour as AIT instructor you earned it soldier.

You've done your share of deployments. Take what you know and teach noobs.

They told me I had been in East Asia too long, and I had to go back to the states. Within 6 months I was enroute to Vietnam. Don't believe where you are going until you get there

If you haven't been stop loss locked my advice is to pop smoke and pull out while you can and Ft. Sill isn't a bad duty station, when you get there stop in Lawton to a little place called Dragons West and have a pitcher for me. Steel rain
