I was given the 3 options stated above and I know absolutly nothing about ADA. Just looking for advice on which of these to pick. Also wondering what I should expect from AIT at Fort Sill. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. What advice do you have on choosing between my re-enlistment options of 14E,14G, and 14T? What should I expect from AIT at Fort Sill? 2017-12-28T19:20:55-05:00 1LT Private RallyPoint Member 3207411

I'm a prior service SSG who is re-enlisting. AIT shouldn’t be too difficult, but it will get heavy on technical information.

Af for which MOS to choose, if you go 14T you’re going to be working on PATRIOT launchers. You’ll be doing maintenance, emplacement, and reload operations. 14E are the guys you sit in the Engagenent stations and watch the scope, and work with the radar. Either one of these will also give you the option of getting involved with THAAD, the new air defense system that is getting emplaced worldwide.

14G will deal with communications, networks, and data links. You’ll work with sentinel radar and avenger operations, which is about to be a top priority in the Army, to satellite communications, tactical networks, and datalink management. With this MOS, you also won’t be limited to only air defense units, as most BCTs and Division headquarters have a handful of 14G on hand to help them run airspace operations.

I’m already a 14G, and with those options I’d pick my MOS again. If you have questions or want more info, let me know. The tables of organization and equipment for air defense are unique, as it is probably the most highly technical branch of the army.

If you have a choice go for 14G - Battle Management System. It's like playing Missile Command on steroids.

I was a 25L4R / 14L4R AN / TSQ-73 C3I Command & Control System Operator / Maintenance. I was a combat engineer for 13 years before that. It was the best thing it ever happened to me. As 14G I have done incredible things for professional and personal development, the branch really focus on NCOPD. My recommendation is of course 14G, but I am biased. Also most patriot units morale are low due to the fact of the higher rank e5 and above reclassify to these mos and try to treat it like infantry world and that’s not how it’s supposed to be. You’ll get to a unit and more likely you’ll have an e4 who knows everything about the job but doesn’t wanna promote or re-enlist due to this. I was a 14 I did one term, and only met 1 E6 who actually knew his job and because of this he was an excellent platoon sergeant, mentor, and teacher. Just be open minded is all.
