What advice do you have on how I can reform my Campaign hat?

Brand new drill here and made the rookie mistake of not poly my hat. I received 2 and one got warped due to being under clothes and the other is bowing due to the rain. Any tips and tricks to reforming, I put it in a press and no dice so that's a waste of 50 bucks any information will help thanks.

I always used a press and non scented hair spray. Would spray the top and underside of the brim and placed it in the press overnight. Came out stiff and held pretty well. Non-scented hair spray because the scented type drew bees. You would walk around looking like a bee-hive.

I always use a press and never have any real issues after sitting for a night or two. I have also used a spray bottle with mostly water and a little rubbing alcohol in it to help draw out the water. I haven't heard of any bowing that was no correctable. Try that and lock that press down tight and maybe shift if to hit all the edges and bowing parts.... hope that helps.

Check out drillsergeant_fly fish on TikTok. He has a great video on how to poly your hat properly. It might help take that bow out or it might not. Either way great to know for a future hat.

You can shape a hat the way cowboys do it, with a tea kettle and steaming it to form it.

Soak the shit out of it with white rain hairspray and press it. you can draw blood on a private's nose with it...... Or so I've been told.

Spent 3 years as an MTI (USAF). Basic care; always pressed down the brim each night after work (such as books, etc). Occasionally in the flight office I would put books down on the brim also. If out in the rain a rain cover worked but still had to press down the brim each night "just in case". I avoided spraying anything on the brim with the idea once I start down that road I would have to stay on it. Never lost a hat due to warping of the brim.

If you have a western shop near your base, they may be able to steam press it back.
