There are several options available it depends on where you want to take your military career. DS is great for your career but if your married and have children it's not the best move to make. Recruiter could be an option but you have quotas to meet monthly. If you are very proficient at your MOS might I suggest Warrant Officer.

My ultimate goal is to be a warrant. But according to all the warrants in the field I would be dropping a packet, They all day its best to drop a packet at 10 years 2-4 months so you do not have to make cw3 to retire

Also , another grand op if your cards are right ...... Drill sergeant ... When I was in basic there was a fresh E5 whom was a DS in my class ... Shoot for the stars ... NCO's lead the way !

You can do AIT Platoon Sergeant, and once you hit SSG you could be an NCOES instructor

SSG Aaron Marshall - The only thing about SOF is that it wouldn't give him any TDA experience at the E5 or E6 level, which might cause him some issues down the line when it comes time for the 7 board. Unless he stays SOF, then it's all good haha

You need to be a SSG to be an AIT Platoon Sergeant.
