What are my chances of my medical waiver being accepted? I am trying to join the Army National Guard?

I disclosed at MEPS that I was prescribed an inhaler at the age of 13 because of chest pain while playing soccer, I got the medical record and it says i saw a cardiologist and I have absolutely nothing wrong with my cardiovascular system, it says I do not have asthma, and that nothing has been wrong with me, I am currently a firefighter and have no issues with chest pain or asthma or anything like that, I just want to know if I should be optimistic about this waiver or if I should expect to be disqualified? Update: it got accepted!

Did you at any point refill your inhaler or seek treatment for this issue past the age of 13? If so you may have a up hill battle. Your current situation will help when pleading your case, but it is all about the length and time of treatment.

that was the only time that it was ever a problem and i never even used the inhaler

Raymond Christensen - That will play to your favor. If there was no treatment past the age of 13, then you should be good to go. They may require you to take a Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) to make sure there are no issues. However, since there are none, that will simply be a formality. I think you will be good, best of luck to you!
