SPC Brandon Bell 8450516 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am a former 11B who got out after completing my first enlistment in full. My reentry code is 1 and separation code was MBK. I have a 105 GT and am looking to reenlist as HUMINT. Realistically what are my chances of getting back in as a 35M? I left service in 2016 as a E4(P) -SPC. What are my chances of reenlisting active duty as a 35M being a prior service 11B? 2023-08-31T20:18:50-04:00 SPC Brandon Bell 8450516 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am a former 11B who got out after completing my first enlistment in full. Coming back as a HUMINT, well they might think, &quot;Hey look at this knuckle dragger&quot;. Never know until you try. Might be easier to get back in, then go for what you want- who knows. However, junior enlisted 11Bs are also somewhat in demand, so they may only offer you that again.<br /><br />You&#39;ll need a 101 ST from your ASVAB (110+ is better) and if you don&#39;t know a language, you&#39;ll be required to take the DLAB (Defense Language Aptitude Battery) before heading to the MEPS - you are required to get a certain score to be eligible to enlist as a 35M. I would suggest reading up on it and trying a few of the practice tests to get an idea the test.<br /><br />The only way you&#39;ll know about your chances is by talking to an active duty recruiter.<br />-------------------------------------------------------<br />* <a target="_blank" href="https://armypubs.army.mil/epubs/DR_pubs/DR_a/ARN34360-PAM_11-8-000-WEB-1.pdf">https://armypubs.army.mil/epubs/DR_pubs/DR_a/ARN34360-PAM_11-8-000-WEB-1.pdf</a> <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default"> <div class="pta-link-card-picture"> </div> <div class="pta-link-card-content"> <p class="pta-link-card-title"> <a target="blank" href="https://armypubs.army.mil/epubs/DR_pubs/DR_a/ARN34360-PAM_11-8-000-WEB-1.pdf">ARN34360-PAM_11-8-000-WEB-1.pdf</a> </p> <p class="pta-link-card-description"></p> </div> <div class="clearfix"></div> </div> Response by COL Randall C. made Aug 31 at 2023 11:19 PM 2023-08-31T23:19:25-04:00 2023-08-31T23:19:25-04:00 SSG Jeffrey Leake 8450837 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The way that things are going for recruiters currently, you might not have that big of a problem. Best thing to do is go down to talk to a recruiter and find out first hand. Best of luck to you. By 26 and with the help of a very good recruiter I was able to join the Idaho National Guard Band. I stayed there for a couple years then transferred to 11B, later got 12B. Long story short I didn&#39;t get to do what I wanted to do which was join the army and fly, as during high school I earned my private pilot license. But I did get to serve, stayed long enough to get a retirement and got to do almost what I wanted to do. Many times easier once your back in to get what you want. You can pick your mos and they will send you to the school. Unlike the regular army the guard give you more freedom in choosing an mos. My GT was 130 so didn&#39;t have an issue, nor break in service. They allowing you to try and improve your GT score too? Thinking most of the 35 CMF all have a 110 minimum but could be wrong. Anyway, good luck.<br /><br />Just want to add this, there is a TS security clearance requirement, and maybe some polys. Just don&#39;t try to hide anything in your past during your security interview.
