What are my options with an early separation from active duty? I’ve heard some people say there is an option of getting out 6 months early if you had a job lined up.But I have heard some say it’s not an option
Looking for further details on my options?

What you're referring to is a program that existed while the Army was downsizing. It ended several years ago. There is no six month early ETS program

Curtailment of your contract is always possible, by unusual to say the least.

The 6 month “early” thing is likely regarding the DoD Skillbridge Program (Army/AF Careers Skills Program) where you can intern within your last 6 months at a company already registered within the CSP or one you find and get approval for. You, your command, and the company must sign the paperwork. The TAP folks should have a Skillbridge coordinator (send me a note if you cannot find them).

The six month drop for school and verified employment was discontinued. It was enabled by a MILPER message which expired. It would have to be AR 635-200 somewhere to be valid. Talk to your S1 to see if it was re-activated I can't look this up for you as MILPER messages are all CAC protected. SGM Erik Marquez I'm tracking the early drop for school and offer letters is done. Is that your understanding?

MSgt Matthew N. it’s not skillbridge he’s asking about. There used to be a provision where BDE Commanders could verify and approve a 180day drop to accommodate start of a academic program or a bona fide job offer in writing. That expired.
