Positions that I'm considering are IG and EOA because they are also in line with my civilian degree path. A follow on question to the one above is: Should I pursue additional staff positions for my specialty before going outside it again? I did very well out in Recruiting. Would do recruiting again, but only if I was getting ready to retire.
MSG Bobby Ewing Sun, 08 Dec 2013 09:02:07 -0500 2013-12-08T09:02:07-05:00 Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 12 at 2013 12:49 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-are-senior-nco-positions-would-you-recommend-for-career-progression?n=19426&urlhash=19426

A recently retired CSM-turned-civilian-contractor that I instruct with told me that holding the position of Battalion S-3 NCOIC (a MSG position) as a SFC will be an attention grabber, along with being a Platoon Sergeant (FORSCOM or AIT/TRADOC), Drill Sergeant, EOA, AIT or NCOA Instructor, or Career Counselor.
