How you improve your boot wear? What are some creative and odd ways to prep and wear your combat boots? 2018-08-22T03:39:30-04:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 3900157

For example, I seen written blood type and names on boots. One ive heard a lot and watch others do but ive never done is shower with a new pair of boots and break them in. Me myself personally I always get a better inserts for my boots because I have a big arch and always break them in before heavy use especially before any road marches or field exercises. This seemed to be the thing once everyone saw it first on Black Hawk Down. A little fun fact though. There is no Doctor/Surgeon that's going to look at your boot and trust that it is correct. They will conduct their own blood type determination before any blood transfusions. Special Ops guys may, but then again they were probably tested at some point by the 18D medic in their team.

I hate blousing my pants in the boot. I always used boot blouse'rs and wrapped my laces loosely once around the back of the boot and tied what little lace I had left in a square knot and tucked the rest in the boot.
