Your state may offer benefits as well. In Louisiana at 90% and above gets them tuition exemption. Sometimes they will pay before age 18 and after 26. Here in Virginia if you're 100% permanently and totally disabled for any reason your children are entitled to 48 months of free tuition. If you're 100% permanently and totaled disabled due to enemy action it's 48 months of free tuition AND room + board. In addition to benefits for you dependents, some states like Virginia, South Carolina, etc also exempt you from property taxes on your primary residence. Some states offer a percentage reduction. Either way your states Department of Veteran Services would be your first point of inquiry.

Have a good day Gunny.
