I have no preference but trying to find some CONUS duty stations close to cities with good IT related job opportunity for a family member. I have been previously stationed at Carson and JBLM and am looking for some other duty stations.
Thank you.

Fort Lewis isn’t too bad being near Boeing, Microsoft, Amazon and a few others.
Another area believe it or not is Madigan at Bragg. Park yourself just right between Charlotte/Raleigh. Right now Raleigh is growing faster than Douglas county did back during the ‘90s...
You cannot go wrong with Fort Belvoir, VA and DC for both, but beware, high costs of living. Same with Kimbrough at Meade. Both will be easy for work, especially if a clearance is in-hand!
A little further up the road in MD you have Aberdeen and a little further west, is Detrick, but beware, all the above around DC is a parking lot for driving!

Fort Sam Houston (JBSA) is in San Antonio. There are a ton of bases in the DC/Baltimore area. El Paso is a decent sized city and FT Bliss is right next door.

Thank you for the response sir. As of now Fort Sam Houston is in my top preference list. However, it being a TDA unit, I keep hearing that new 2LTs will be sent to MTOE units. Any thoughts on that sir?

I second this. BAMC and Fort Sam Houston (JBSA) are great for medical. Great training, support and state of the art facilities. Awesome military town as well.

If you and your family member are both willing to commute a bit Ft Hood is an option. I've heard of folks living in-between Austin and Hood then commuting a half hour or so each way. Traffic out of Austin can be brutal though. My wife and I are pretty much in the same boat right now. We're due to leave Ft Sam next summer. She works in a niche field and it would definitely help being close to a decent sized city but our list of PCS options is pretty limited. She's been going to school part time for her Master's degree and she's thinking about taking a heavier class load at our next duty station to finish her degree quicker since job options might be limited.
