You want points? 1. Enroll in Excelsior College, it is free. Once you are enrolled, get your Joint Service Transcripts (JSTs, which are NOT worth actual points) sent to Excelsior for evaluation, there is a pull down menu on the JST page and it will have Excelsior as an option (still free). Excelsior will do the evaluation in less than a week. They will tell you what degree you are closest to (pick a bachelor's). Once you are enrolled in a program, take the evaluation of the JST to your Ed center and have an Ed counselor evaluate your Excelsior Transcripts (That are really just a portion of your JST) and THAT evaluation will be worth civilian education points. You could also, you know, get tuition assistance and actually finish the all online degree for free too, if you really want to. Final piece of advice: Do not wait 26 years to do your degree, I did, but I will still graduate before I retire with zero out of pocket for tuition.

It depends on what you are interested in and what your unit needs. I took ABIC (Army Basic Instructor Course) among others along the way that I enjoyed, talking to your Training NCO is a great point SSG Thomas Livingston made in an earlier post. They will be able to see what classes are available and if funding would be feasible to send you. Also be flexible, the school may not seem interesting but if you are wanting promotion points be willing to take what they have, It will help with your NCOER also. Sometimes even taking on additional duties can help assist you in getting some of the courses they normally wouldn't offer, not always but sometimes it helps. SFC Ricardo Dominguez brought up MRT,you can see if they will let you be a Resilience training assistant first then go for the Master course, my unit in the past had a rank requirement to attend the Master course. SSG John Carpenter is correct on the ASIs (Additional Skill Identifiers), you've listed that you are a Health care specialist/Combat Medic- Have your Training NCO look to see what the MOS is compatible to in terms of ASIs. If there are not any right off then look at what would both help you with your career path and align with the unit needs.
