What are some good and durable running shoes for someone with wide and flat feet?

Good morning to everyone, I hope everyone is safe out there. I need an opinion on what would be good running shoes to replace my current ones. I'm flat footed and also have wide feet. I've been considering purchasing a pair of hoka's off a recommendation. However I want my purchase to be an investment pair that will last at least 2 years. Please give me opinions. Thank you

As one with feet problems, I had a Podiatrist tell me that I need to change my shoes out every 6 months. As for what kind/type of shoe, I'd recommend you seek out the advice and guidance (and compare the info) from a podiatrist and actual footwear store experts. 2 years? My feet would divorce me if I used a pair for 2 years.

For years I was 100% New Balance because they make shoes all the way to size 6E. But lately it seems like they are using a regular width shoe last for extra wide shoes.

I recently switched to Brooks, they have some extra wide shoes. They are the most comfortable shoes I've put on in years

Definitely worth the money, which is about $140.

I recommend going to a professional sportswear site that has the equipment to gage your feet and recommend the best shoe for you. They tend to be a little more expensive. If you try and they fit you can always get on Amazon to see if they have it cheaper.

I have a similar issue. Because of this I will buy my shoes on amazon. If they hurt my feet I will just return them. I have found that Asics GT-2000 have been great for me. They are a solid shoe that is meant for distance. Unless you run a few times a month no running shoe should last that long. I usually go 6 months and I will get a new shoe. It really depends on the ware of the shoe. You should go to a running store in your area. A lot of them have a pressure pad machine that will show you how your foot strikes and it's pressure points. From that they can recommend a shoe.

I use Brooks - they have the wide shoe I need and they are just awesome for street running. However, I will say this... make sure you track the mileage and get new shoes when needed. I don't run a lot, maybe 250 miles a year, but I change my running shoes out every 200 miles. Trust me.. your feet will thank you. Also, dedicate a pair of shoes just for running. My Brooks that I am in now have about 175 miles on them and they are getting ready for a swap out. I also have Brooks that I wear for my daily footwear because they are so comfortable.
