What are some good things to put into a branch briefing on FA?

Suggestions: Likely positions as a new 2LT (e.g. platoon leader, FDO, etc.); life at Fort Sill, OK; likely duty stations with FA units; skills to succeed at BOLC and beyond (e.g. physical fitness, math, etc.)

I am not Field Artillery, but have been staff in an MLRS unit and worked at Fort Sill.

Just kidding. Fa is awesome, if you can get it and also if the battery is registered. I remember in mosul with 1cav, the fa guys missed by a grid square. Not that they were given a bad fire mission, their guns were way off. Also on a side note, in 4id my psg's truck and crew were almost taken out by a bad 120 crew. Fell short of the target by about 400 meters and landed on the corner of a building the truck was using as concealment.

When it comes to Junior Officer development, the phrase "they eat their young" comes to mind.

On a positive note, when it comes to understanding combined arms, FA officers are far superior to either Armor or Infantry due to the mission of the FA.

I would add;
- FA iperational integration with the other branches
- the various FA equipment
- a general career path for FA officers
- the various MOS (enlisted and officer) under the FA title
- general overview of FA resources in the Reserves and NG.
