Have you considered any fellowships or possibly graduate education? Being that you're a signal officer, you should look into a career path that is closely related to your job in the Army.
2. What other interests do you have outside of Signal?
3. Are you looking to work strictly in the civilian market or a civilian contractor working for the government?
4. Good working environment, with plenty of professional challenges (full disclosure - I spent 10 years with Accenture and its its ancestor
Andersen Consulting) including lots of travel. MIL officers tend to have certain characteristics. Mission focus. Hate internal politics. Know how to take care of their people. Got used to honoring John Q's tax dollar. The list goes on. So interesting enough, these are the qualities most sought by Not For Profits, and Fraternal organizations. It's not just working for consulting firms that dump their ethics to make a buck. MILs don't hang around those long. MILs get used to life being interesting, hence want to do things that have visible returns and the ability to create those returns.
